Volunteering

Walton on the Hill Primary School highly values parents and others who volunteer to help out with school activities. We hope to encourage your support, contributions and assistance. Many school activities would be at risk if it weren't for your help and our pupils benefit greatly from it. We have parents who come in to hear reading, lead lessons in the area of their expertise, support art and craft activities and lots more!

It is our duty to ensure that whilst you are engaged in voluntary activities for the school that we care for you and ensure your safety. We also, of course, have a duty to ensure that our pupils' welfare is promoted, they are cared for appropriately and they are safeguarded from any harm. All volunteers will be asked to attend an induction meeting and complete appropriate procedures, such as DBS checks (as appropriate), prior to coming in to school. This is all part of our continued commitment to Safeguarding in order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the members of our school community.

If you would like to discuss opportunities for helping at school in the future or anything related to our Safeguarding procedures please contact the Mr Laing via the school office.
